I'm one week away from my due date and am waiting patiently (or should I say impatiently) for the blessed event. We're all ready here at the house so we're hoping for an early arrival. We even got a new dishwasher! Very exciting! The dishwasher for the last two years has been Paul. Can you believe he loves to do dishes?? Did I score in the husband department or what?!! But we finally filled the gaping ugly hole in the kitchen where the old one used to be. I came into the kitchen the morning it was delivered and Paul was at the sink and he said solemly, 'Oh, I'm just doing the dishes one last time...' (strange man). I think he'll appreciate it when the baby arrives and he's so sleep deprived that he can't see straight!
Hey, maybe if I go sing something at the top of my range and as loud as I can, my water will break and we can get things rolling?

Happy 4th of July everybody and a belated Happy Canada Day as well to my fellow Canucks!!
We actually have very nice weather here in Nashville instead of the usual stifling humidity that usually accompanies the 4th of July. And let me tell you....THAT is something to celebrate for an 8 1/2 month pregnant lady!!!! I've decided the most comfortable place for me right now is at the grocery store in the meat section! Or the ice cream aisle.....
I feel like should say something about the passing of Michael Jackson since it's been the only thing the media has been talking about lately. I think the whole thing is very sad. As talented and creative as he was we never got to know the real person behind all of it. And probably because he didn't know who the real person was either. Unfortunately with success and fame like that it's hard to find reality amidst all of it and to stay grounded. And then you throw in some addiction and a bunch of 'yes' people who don't really give a crap and will get him whatever he thinks he needs and there you have disaster waiting to happen. Not that you can only blame everyone else....we all have to take responsibility for our own actions.
I don't think we'll ever fully know the truth behind Michael's life and death because you can't trust the media......there just looking for whatever is going to be the most dramatic piece of news to air....truth or not. Plus, it's none of our business. It'd be nice if everybody could just remember his contribution to the music world, which is HUGE, and let the rest be. We all know he was messed up.....isn't that enough?
