Hi Everybody!
I've been doing a lot of thinking lately about the music being played on the radio these days and how the majority of the songs I hear are from guys. Where are the ladies?
Apparently, the studies show that the reason we don't hear as many females played is because the majority of the listeners at country radio are female and they prefer to listen to and buy music from men. Hmmm... Could this be possible?
Now, don't get me wrong. I love the guys! There is some incredible stuff out there by them, but I'm just having a hard time believing that "female artists don't sell." So, I want to hear from YOU ladies! (and guys too). Tell me what you think about that.
I have also decided to make every Tuesday "DIVA DOWNLOAD DAY." I'm going to go to iTunes every Tuesday and download a song from one of my favourite female artists because I am a female and I like to listen to and buy music from other females! My first download is going to be from Pam Tillis and Lorrie Morgan, their new song "I Am A Woman." It just so happens that my good friend Mary Sue Englund is a writer on this song and I couldn't think of three better divas to start this off with!
I hope you'll join me every Tuesday with your own choice! Download a diva!
