New Album Credits and things….

January/2026

Hey everybody! Happy 2026!!
So my plan this year is to start blogging once or twice a month and get into a little bit more than just the tour dates and the surface stuff…I think its time to go a little deeper! As this new album, ‘The God I Know’ goes out into the world I'm feeling pretty excited about this next chapter and what God is doing in my life so I'd love to share some things about all of that.
Id like to talk about my health journey over the last couple of years as well as my spiritual journey that has led to the songs on this album. I've been learning so much and discovering that it all goes hand in hand and I'm finding it all so interesting! Perhaps you will too..:)

But lets start with the music…I'm way behind on getting thankyous and credits posted for the album. I meant to have this up in December but got bogged down with the flu and some other health things that we'll get into in at a later date….
The first mention goes out with extreme gratitude to the ‘Thursday Night Prayer Group’. This is an amazing group of ladies who have been gathering and praying with me for several years now. Most Thursdays if I'm not on the road, you can find us gathered in somebody's living room to pray and worship. Sometimes we laugh, sometimes we cry and sometimes we sit quietly in the spirit. Whatever it is, it's always a powerful time together. These ladies have taught me so much about worship and what it looks like to use my gifts for the Glory of God and to just be in His presence without worrying about the ‘performance’.
Several of the songs on the album have been inspired from these gatherings...from something that would come to mind as we prayed or something somebody said that would spark an idea. So in some ways you could say these ladies are like co-writers on the album…ha!
They have also prayed over every single song and some even came to the studio when we were recording to pray over the musicians and the room and to cover the entire project. Pretty darn cool!

And now I need to give a shout out to everyone else who was a part of this new music. The musicians are as follows for tracks 3 through 9:
Billy Nobel on piano/organ, Eli Beaird on bass, Evan Hutchings on drums, Wanda Vick on fiddle and mandolin and Devon Malone on acoustic guitar.
Special thanks to Beaird Music Group for being such an amazing studio to record in and to Jim Deblanc for engineering.
Track 2 (Send In The Worshippers) was previously recorded a while back and it was produced by Buddy Hyatt and Chuck Rhodes at Hilltop Recording Studios with Lonnie Wilson on drums, Brent Mason on guitar, Joel Key on acoustic guitar, Buddy Hyatt on piano and Jenee Fleenor on fiddle.
Tracks 1 and 10 were done in our home studio and Paul Jefferson used his creative genius to help make them really special recordings!
All background vocals were done by myself, Paul Jefferson and Adam Cunningham (Track 1)
The album cover design was done by Mary Susan Oleson and BLU Design Concepts.

‘The God I Know’ is something I love so very much and it is probably the most honest and vulnerable record I've ever done. I'm so grateful for these songs and the opportunity to put them out there. This truly has been a God thing and an extremely fulfilling and rewarding experience.
In my next blog I plan to go into more detail about each song so stay tuned for that!

Happy New Year everybody…2026 is gonna be amazing!!!
